Your Appointment:

You will be warmly greeted by our office staff.  We recommend that you print and fill out your First Massage or Acupuncture Treatment forms and bring them to your first appointment.  It is also an option to fill out these forms at our office by arriving 20 minutes before your first appointment.

Our treatment rooms are luxuriously relaxing.  For acupuncture, please wear comfortable loose fitting clothes so that Dr. Marco can get to your elbows and knees.

For massage and Reiki healing massage appointments, everyone has their own level of comfort.  You will always be properly draped and covered with linens.  For massage, many people prefer to wear their underpants, although some prefer nothing so that the massage therapist can get to the sides of their body.  Our utmost goal is for you to feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed.  On the other hand, for Reiki treatments, you can just kick off your shoes and stay fully clothed.

Payment:

Cash, check (with credit card to guaranty), Visa, Mastercard, or Discover are accepted for all treatments.

OUR VISION

Did You Know?

  • More than 40% of all adults suffer adverse health effects as a result of stress.
  • Approximately 80% of the health-related problems in technologically-advanced countries are stress related.

We envision a healthier, happier, stress-free, and more productive world, empowered by the energy science of Oriental Medicine, energy work, and Reiki, by the relaxation and muscle release of Customized massage, and by the healing hands and hearts of our practitioners.  Stonington Natural Health Center is at the leading edge of this work, connecting you to a higher-performing and better-feeling you as well as to a global community of people at the vanguard of health, creativity, and productivity.

In recent years, acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, massage, and Reiki have found their way into the lives of people seeking optimal health, whether they are seeking to optimize their sports performance, abilities in school, or happiness in life.  We see movie stars, yoga teachers, and urban trendsetters utilizing holistic mind-body medicine.  Enjoying and benefiting from holistic medicine is spreading in unpredictable and organic ways.  Many of Stonington Natural Health Center’s clients and patients become converts and utilize Oriental Medicine and massage as a lifestyle.  They appreciate and talk about, with great zeal, the importance of holistic medicine, where we treat the whole body, mind, and spirit.  They are our best promoters, with compelling testimonials about how holistic and Oriental Medicine has improved their lives.

We are proud that holistic medicine is benefiting areas as diverse as health, agriculture, and industry. We envision a future in which a global community of people are eating organic foods, drinking clean water, breathing clean air, learning how to be happy in the classroom of life, and getting tune-ups of holistic medicine to help perform at their creative best.

Cancellation Policy:

If you are going to be late for an appointment, we would rather you come late and have a shorter treatment than miss your appointment altogether; however, please call to inform us.

Your treatment time is reserved for you.  If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please call at least two days in advance (including Sundays and when the office is closed) to allow us to reschedule your time.  If no one is available to answer, please leave a message.  Because your treatment time is reserved for you and we have made preparations for your appointment, with less than 24 hours notice, you will be responsible for the charge of the appointment.  We will charge your credit card or deduct one treatment from your package.  It is our policy that for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice, if you or we are able to fill your appointment, you will not be charged.

If you can't make it to an appointment, a great alternative is to substitute a friend or family member in your appointment time.  If it is their first acupuncture appointment at SNHC, please let them know about the $50 first acupuncture appointment intake fee.

We appreciate your cooperation on informing us at least 48 hours in advance as it is vitally important to our mutual success.  We try to make reminder calls as a courtesy, however, you are ultimately responsible for remembering your appointments.  If you are interested in a copy of the cancellation policy, please contact our office at (860) 536-3880 or info@snhc.com.
