Dr. Marco is the Founder and Director of Stonington Natural Health Center.  Dr. Marco became interested in Acupuncture due to her background in psychobiology and the mind-body connection.  She brings her expertise to us from the prestigious Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where she received a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine after earning her Bachelors Degree in Neuroscience from the distinguished Bowdoin College.

René Brinson, Licensed Massage Therapist

René is a nationally Licensed Massage Therapist and AMTA member.  René specializes in Deep tissue and Swedish Massage, as well as acupressure for your specific needs.  She is exceptionally talented at isolating the musculoskeletal problem, addressing it with massage, and giving you stretches to help you get better faster.  René will work with you through your journey and make this a wonderful mind, body, and spirit experience.

A native of Mystic, Connecticut, Beth is a Licensed and Accredited Practitioner.  She has received training and attended various workshops nationally and internationally in such areas as Aromatherapy, Sports Massage, Myofascial Deep Tissue Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Nutrition, and Reiki and Reconnective Healing.

Beth lived abroad for 10 years, as Director of a beautiful Retreat Center in Southern Spain.  She has worked with a number of celebrities so far during her career.

Specializing in Sports Massage and working with chronic pain or injuries, Beth uses deep tissue and trigger point release techniques, stretches, and gentle moves and holds depending on the needs of the client.

Melissa Smith, Licensed Massage Therapist, specializes in sports massage, deep tissue treatments, and preventative maintenance on muscles and their connective tissues.  In addition, Melissa treats sciatica and low back pain due to tight and inflamed muscle tissue.

Ten years as a local massage therapist, Melissa is a Nationally Licensed Massage Therapist.  Melissa specializes in sports injuries for both teens and adults.  Melissa offers a variety of massages from soft therapeutic massage for damaged muscles and stress to deep tissue massage for more healthy, nourished active muscles.  Melissa also incorporates various types of stretches into massage, which is essential for maximum circulation throughout the entire body, replenishing the area with fresh energy and leaving the client feeling energetic and refreshed.

Lise (pronounced “Lees”) is trained and certified in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, and Trigger Point modalities of massage along with physiology, pathology, muscular and skeletal anatomy. Specializing in relaxation (Swedish) and therapeutic (deep tissue) massage, she blends these modalities into a custom massage for each individual client based on the needs of their body at that time.  Upon graduating from massage school she immediately became certified in Therapy Stones. The alternating heat and cold invigorate the circulatory system while promoting the proper energy flow through the body.  Hot Stone Massage is also referred to as Hot Rock Massage or LaStone Massage.

Combining Reiki and massage therapy with hot stones and aromatherapy has a synergistic effect: each enhances the effects of the other, and together they can produce a remarkable experience.  We start with a one hour massage with some hot stones added then some essential oils (if preferred).  After your body is relaxed then a Reiki treatment is performed, and clients love this combination:  massage, hot stones, aromatherapy, and reiki.  

Lise is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) an accredited through the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). In addition she is a Usui and Karuna Reiki® Master (KR# 84422).

Lise has been helping others improve their health and well-being in the healthcare field for over two decades, first in Respiratory Therapy, then Cardiology as a certified American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Physiologist.  During that time she developed and was coordinator of the prenatal and postpartum exercise program at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.  Deciding to pursue her passion of massage, she changed careers and graduated from Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy, MI in 2005 and has been practicing massage ever since.
