Acupuncture

For Adults, Children, Couples, Friends, and Families

Chinese Medicine is holistic medicine and is based on evaluating the person as a whole — this includes looking at all aspects of your body, mind, and spirit. The body consists of what is physically going on for you — and you may have a Western diagnosis/diagnoses to go along with this. The mind consists of any stresses or emotions that are coming up. The spirit is your passion for life — we want to revitalize the sparkle in your eyes!

Acupuncture is one of the many healing modalities of Chinese Medicine, and is highly effective in treating a long list of health problems and concerns.

The Philosophy behind Acupuncture is that in Chinese Medicine, energy is referred to as Qi (pronounced chee).  Over the centuries, Chinese Medicine doctors have mapped out the flow of Qi in the body in what are called channels, pathways, or meridians. Health is maintained when Qi flows smoothly and freely through these channels. When there are blockages in the flow of or too much or too little Qi, health is disrupted, and dis-ease often results. Acupuncture helps to unblock the Qi from where it might be stuck, balancing the Qi by promoting its smooth and free flow to all of the organs, muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

Acupuncture points are like buttons on your personal circuit board.  They have specific balancing effects. These points are carefully selected for each treatment to bring the body back to a balanced state. Treatments are individualized for each patient's needs. Acupuncture helps to relax the body, and studies have shown that they release endorphins, decrease pain and inflammation, thereby bringing about healing in the body.

The best way to learn more about Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is to come in for an appointment. Dr. Marco looks forward to meeting and helping you.

Come Together!

Friends, couples, families, and children can all benefit from Acupuncture and bodywork. We enjoy treating people of all ages.

Acupuncture is a wonderful way to start or end a day, or a break in the middle!

When coming down with a cold, both child and parent benefit greatly from being treated at the same time. Children, especially those with allergies or growing muscles and bones, greatly enjoy treatments, and Dr. Marco has been treating her sons with Acupuncture, shoni shin, and massage for asthma, colds, sports injuries, stress, and growing pains since they were infants.  Pregnancy is a key time for treatments, to help with relaxation and baby's development.

You don't need to have anything wrong to benefit from Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine — because your body and organs are always working, your Acupuncture treatment is a time for you to bring your body in for a tune-up.

We have found the Fountain of Youth! And it is Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. It is time for you to live a longer, healthier, and happier life.
